McMullen Basketball

David McMullen, raised in Houston, Texas, played high school basketball at Clear Lake High School under Coach Lynn McDonald. Coach McMullen went on to play college basketball at Ripon College, a DIII school in Ripon, Wisconsin. At Ripon, David was a 4-year starter at the point-guard position with top all-time records in steals and assists.

After graduating with a dual major in Business Administration and Economics, David quickly began a career path of executive academic business operations in higher education at the University of Houston, but the passion for basketball never left.

His grassroots coaching and development career began in 2011, coaching for multiple AAU programs under Orin Bailey, Rhossi Carron, and John Lucas. David has also been a high school varsity assistant for multiple schools in Houston including Episcopal Knights(HC Kyle Manary) and Lutheran South Academy Pioneers (HC Andre White).

Coach McMullen's training took off when he began coaching and training his own privately-sponsored AAU team, where four of the original seven 12u players are now playing collegiate basketball. He has trained hundreds of players from elementary level to Pro level, coaching skill camps for Chris Paul and John Lucas.

Coach McMullen believes in development at EVERY level and pushes players beyond their comfort zone to expedite the learning and vastly expand skillsets that allow players to use basketball as a tool to be successful both on and off the court.
